The One Where I Rip Out My Throat and Sinuses and Live Happily Ever After.

There’s a been a lot of shit going down in my little corner of the world.

My boss quit. She came in on a Saturday, took all her junk home and left all the company stuff. Resignation complete. So, me and the other people in my department are slowly trying to get some footing. I have no idea what’s going to happen but I’m just trying to keep my head above the water. I’ve been resisting writing about this because I do not want to complain about work anymore lest you dear readers begin to think I’m a one-trick pony. Good for expletive laced rants about the pitfalls of corporate America but that’s about it. I’m multi-dimensional, I swear, I’m just momentarily incapable of emoting that.

Secondly, I’m sick a-fucking-gain. This is the second time I’ve been under the weather since the start of 2008 and it is REALLY starting to wear on my nerves. I took a sick day yesterday and I have a vacation day tomorrow and I’m sure my weekend is going to be spent wearing sweatpants and crying because owie, my froat hurts.

Thirdly, I’m a crafting FOOL. I made a hat! And I’m currently working on an afghan. I know knitting is supposed to be the cool thing but I’m much more into crocheting. Photographic proof that I’m crafty and that I have a bathroom (and giant boobs):

I even sent d-blogged a very special crocheted present because he’s a very patient contest winner. I also mailed the present for the other contest I had a few weeks ago.

Off to sip Theraflu and ponder the merits of puking up Chipotle burritos. XOXO.

Cute Hat!

I wish I could knit or crochet, but every time I've tried things turn out wonky and I realized that I am just not crafty in that way.

I hope you feel better soon, being sick on the weekend sucks. *hugs*

Wow. You are WAY better at crocheting than I am. I pronounce 'crocheting' like I'm talking about crotch because I am a really amazing grown up.

Nice hat... Uh... Did you take that picture of the hat while you were sitting on the toilet in the bathroom... I can see a tile floor and a mirror and the room does look rather small. I think that's the edge of a shower in the corner there... Yes... Im quite convinced that this is a bathroom picture. I like the hat. It's just... Well.. Sitting on the... You know... Why? I mean what was going on in the other room? Oh well... Nice hat!

I seriously hope you feel better soon and that is one awesome hat! Hope the job gets better too, that sounds sucky to say the least. You are strong and smart and will triumph.

That's pretty awesome. I just began crocheting. I haven't made anything worth bragging about or that I can wear....but if a cat needs a blanket, I got em covered...literally :) I hope you feel better and everything at work turns out alright :)

You are awesome at crocheting. I tried the knitting thing but don't have the patience. I feel the need to complain about work today too, but maybe I'll hold off.

Cute hat! I love the color choices!

The one time my mom tried to teach me how to knit/crochet/any of the above, we realized that a right handed person cannot teach a left handed person, and we left it at that.

Hope you feel better soon, I too am battling the beginnings of an ugly cold/flu/whatever this thing is...

I love crocheting! Your hat looks kinda like fruit loops...in a good way.

Crochet rocks. I hope you spearhead The Big Crochet Comeback, 2008. Or 2009, if you feel you might need a little more time to get the ball rolling.

Better to throw them up than have them come flying out the other end (says the guy with no gall bladder...he should know).

Get well soon. And my my my...that second picture...you DO have a bathroom.

Oh, come on, you can't tell me that I'm the only one who was looking for the proof of the giant boobs...

Hey, you brought 'em up.

Cute hat, though...
